Michael Fitzpatrick
Michael is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Bookboard, Inc. He watched his kids’ daily interactions with tablet devices and noticed how immersed they were in the experience. Motivated by his desire to offer them higher quality “screen time,” Bookboard was born. In 2007, he co-founded ConnectSolutions, Inc., which he turned cash-flow positive in 4 months and profitable within 13 months. Michael has over 15-years of experience in software and technology development, specializing in user experience and real-time web communication technology.
Prior to ConnectSolutions, he led the Connect business through many releases at Adobe Systems, making it one of the top growth products for both Adobe and Macromedia. He also serves as an advisory board member of Balsamiq Studios, LLC. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College, and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and their three children.

Nigel Pegg
Nigel is a co-founder and serves as the product and technical lead of Bookboard, Inc. With 14-years experience spanning multimedia production, web platform architecture, real-time collaborative applications, and cutting edge UI, Nigel combines the finer details of User Experience with a “serious” Computer Science background. His track record in team and product leadership spans multiple 1.0 releases for Macromedia and Adobe.
Nigel is the holder of 5 US patents (11 more pending), and has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of Alberta, which he paid for working as head instructor at a private tutoring academy, teaching reading, math, and science to kids.

Fang Chang
Fang, pronounced “fah-ng,” is a co-founder and does a little of everything for Bookboard, Inc. He has over 22- years of experience in software and technology development, and has been a key leader and contributor in many cloud-based initiatives. Fang was instrumental in managing the major launches of Acrobat.com, where he oversaw all facets of each release, culminating in a community of over 5M users in less than 1-year. More recently, he co-founded Adobe’s Collaboration Service, a Platform-as-a-Service for building multi-user, social applications that include video, audio, chat, etc.
Fang is a graduate of UC San Diego, and holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Engineering Management degrees from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, their son and family dog.
